Hello, and welcome. Today I'm showing you a very quick project using a tin can, some adhesive fabric and a piece of ribbon.
In all started with a tin can. Originally it came with a plastic lid but I decided to get rid of it and used just the can.
I painted the can white to make sure there was no dark blue showing under the fabric, but this is an optional step. The painting didn't look great, but that was Ok because it was going to be covered by the fabric anyway.
Of course adhesive fabric is very handy for this kind of projects, but regular fabric and fabric glue work well too. You just need to measure the can all around and cut the fabric to size.
After getting the fabric in place, I glued a bit of ribbon at the top for a more polished look:
The adhesive fabric I used was a leftover from the fabric covered wooden box and the ribbon was a leftover from these upcycled summer shorts, which means this tin can project wasn't just a great upclycle but also a way to destash!
The tin can now stands proudly on my sewing table and hopefully it will be a good contribution to keep the mess under control.
