(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - the last days of summer

Summer, my favourite season of the year, is sadly coming to an end. Tomorrow the kids will be back at school, next week I'll be back to work full time, and fall will be rolling in real soon.

So, we've been taking advantage of these last free summer days while we still can!

The Really Crafty Link Party is back!

Yay, it's Monday again and The Really Crafty Link Party is back again!

I've enjoyed a few days off just with my family, no blogging allowed, but I've honestly been missing all of you and the excitement of discovering the lovely ideas you always share every week. So...welcome back for the 32nd edition of The Really Crafty Link Party.

I'm so glad you could join! Show us what you've been working on lately and browse around for what everyone else is sharing! This is a party, so try to visit at least a couple of other links and share the party on social media too. The more, the merrier!

As usual, the linkup will be open until next Thursday and I will be posting the features on Friday, September 2nd!

Now onto the party: The Really Crafty Link Party is focused on crafts, so the idea is for you to link up all your crafty posts: DIYs, printables, home decor, tutorials, recipes, whatever you want to share. Feel free to share as many links as you want, and old posts are welcome! If you host your own party, add it too - it may not be featured, but you'll be sharing it with all of us anyway, and we all love to discover new parties!

You can add posts on other subjects (family friendly please), but only craft related posts will have a chance to be featured and will be pinned to the party's Pinterest board.

By linking up you give me permission to use your photos in features or round-ups, and to share your posts on social media (always with a link back to you for proper credit).

Thank you again for stopping by, and have a wonderful week!

The Really Crafty Link Party is still on vacation!

It's Monday again, and I'm very glad you're visiting but, like last weekend, I will not be hosting the party this week either, as I'm still on vacation with my family.

While I do have some posts scheduled on the blog and I could perfectly put the linkup up too, I still would not be able to read and comment on everyone's posts and then decide on the features.

The Really Crafty Link Party will be back next week, on August 29th and since there is to limit to how many links you can add, you will be able to share everything that you've worked on lately.

Until then, enjoy your summer and thank you for stopping by!

The bright stripes tags - free printable

I've been working on several printables lately and I wanted to make something with stripes.

I'm planning for something more elaborate, probable a party supplies pack, but my first attempt resulted in some simple tags with stripes in bright colors, just perfect for summer!

Back-to-school organization pack - free printable

Today's post started in a very simple way: I wanted to make some cute name tags to put in my kids back to school supplies.

Ever since my son started first grade I've been making different name tags every year and in 2016 I'm going to have a 4th grader and a 1st grader, as my daughter is stepping on her big girl shoes and really excited to start "real school" in a couple of weeks.

But as usual, what started as "I'm just going to design new name tags" ended up with me creating a full organization pack for the new school year, with several different printables. All with a little bugs theme, as per my kids' choice.

Back to School Checklists - free printable

I know we are still halfway through summer, but the truth is that school will start again in just a few weeks. I will be going on vacation in the meantime, and when I return there will be very little time to get prepared. Because I'm a bit of a planning freak, I decided I needed to start right now.

Back to School Checklists - free printable

I've been going through the kids closets, sorting out what will no longer fit in the next school year and putting it aside to donate, but there is still a lot to do and to buy.

The best way to ensure no detail is forgotten is, of course, to make a list. Or, in this case, two lists: one for everything you need to do, and another for what you need to buy for school. Because I have two kids and my youngest will be in first grade already this year (the oldest will be on fourth grade), these lists will be life savers for me!

To download load your copy of the lists, click here.

Print the lists, fill them with everything you need to remember, check of all completed tasks and keep track of what is still missing. This way you can enjoy the summer with a lot less stress and still get ready for the new school year!

Feel free to use these lists in any way want, but f you re-post or share on social media, just please leave a link back to this page.

Have a wonderful week,

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - the cute duckling

Last weekend, while taking a walk in the park, we came across one cute duckling, and of course the kids wanted to take about a zillion photos.

Mama duck was very forthcoming and actually came to eat a few pieces of bread right out of our hands. The baby was a bit more suspicions of us humans, especially the small, loud ones fighting for the camera, but he was still awfully cute.

Now my kids are asking if we can have a pet baby duck...

Happy Wednesday,
